Program
A draft program is provided with updates as it develops with feedback from the organizing committee and participants expressing comments --
We welcome and encourage comments and suggestions on the further development of a programme that interests and benefits participants.
Our conference schedule will integrate science with policy and grower/industry stakeholder interests.
We plan to open the ISHS Workshop at 13:00 on Tuesday July 2nd, 2013 with a series of comprehensive keynote addresses that will orientate participants and discussion according to current status of fire blight research. We also intend this and satellite meetings to stimulate dialogue between research, policy makers and stakeholders.
Dedicated sessions on phytosanitary issues, diagnostics, pathogen genetics, host genomics, breeding and control strategies will be held from 03-05 July 2013. We intend the talks to relay the 'big-picture' and communicate current status and propects/direction for each area of the fire blight management system. An extensive poster session will be offered to foster vigorous discussion among participants on detailed research areas.
We offer opportunities for interest groups and consortium projects to hold satellite meetings before (Monday, July 1st) and after (Friday, July 5th afternoon) the ISHS Workshop. Please contact the organizers if you are interested in arranging rooms for those events.
