13th International Fire Blight Workshop

You are cordially invited to attend the 13th International Fire Blight Workshop in Zürich, Switzerland. The meeting will cover all the aspects of fire blight research, presenting the latest advances in relevant fields such as host and pathogen genetics/genomics, host-pathogen interactions and behaviour, disease epidemiology and ecology, pathogen identification, resistance breeding, chemical/biological control and disease management strategies.
The meeting will be held 2.-5. July 2013 at the main building (HG) of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH, Campus Zentrum) overlooking downtown Zürich. A number of rooms in nearby hotels were pre-booked for participants of Fire Blight 2013 by local organizers. The meeting site is easily accessed by a short train ride (20') from Zürich Airport (ZHR).
There will be a number of social events organized throughout the week (walking tour of Zürich old-city, dinner in a downtown beer garden, excursion to Agroscope Research Station in Wädenswil with visit to labs and orchards followed by a BBQ dinner) to give the opportunity to the participants to socialize among each other and learn more about the different aspects of life in Switzerland .
We hope that you can join us in Zürich to share the current advances in fire blight research, connect with colleagues, and visit our beautiful country.
